The San Francisco Association of REALTORS® (SFAR) provides products and services for REALTORS® doing business in San Francisco and the Northern Peninsula. SFAR offers members a wide variety of products and services including:


The Association operates a highly sophisticated web-based multiple listing service that gives users up-to-the-minute changes in the market with features such as auto-prospecting, advanced mapping and parcel map overlay to help REALTORS® give their clients a greater edge. Through the SFARMLS Quattro system, members, participants and subscribers have reciprocal access to five different MLS covering 36 counties in Northern California.

SFAR publishes standard real estate forms for members to use for both sales and purchase transactions. Members can access, complete and print standard forms published by the Association using either of two software products, InstanetForms or zipForm 6.


SFAR aggressively lobbies local governing bodies to maintain a favorable business climate and to protect the interest of real property owners in San Francisco and the Northern Peninsula. The Association also conducts independent expenditure campaigns in support of candidates running for political office.


SFAR aims to be the leader in providing the most accurate, up-to-date real estate information to REALTORS®, consumers and those interested in the San Francisco residential real estate market. The Association publishes a monthly Market Focus Report highlighting the condition of the local residential real estate market. REALTOR® Advantage Online (RAO) is the Association’s bi-monthly newsletter, which features news, events and educational opportunities important to REALTORS®.


SFAR host ongoing education events and classes which are free to members.
