Our all-new Reciprocal Access class will give you the details on accessing the other Bay Area MLSs, inputting data into those systems, and also where to do broad area searches (Quattro). We will help you understand where your listing data goes once entered and help you understand the differences between those systems and how best to both get help and help yourself when SFARMLS staff is not available. REALTOR® Safety Seminar

The mere nature of the real estate business puts agents at risk daily. Real Estate agents are a target for criminals because even fairly successful agents are usually well-dressed and drive a newer model car. The premise of this class is to educate people in the real estate business to the dangers of meeting strangers in secluded areas with little or no information about the person or the area of the meeting. This event will be for educational purposes only. Join us to learn Safety Techniques to keep you safe.
We will discuss how to prepare a location for an open house, what to check when determining escape routes, and what to look for when approaching potential clients. We will also talk about developing a personal safety program.
 
 As a REALTOR®, it's important you have a personal safety protocol in place that you use every day with every client, like when meeting new clients, showing properties or sharing information online. There are a variety of tools you can adopt in your personal safety protocol, such as the smartphone apps and safety products you can find here.

Contract Comparison, SFAR's PA-SF with CAR's RPA

Course Description:  Since 1907, agents in San Francisco have had the benefit of using a ‘standard’ Purchase Agreement customized to the variety of property types found in the City and to the local laws and conventions.  That standard has evolved from one page to seven today.  Since 1922, agents in the rest of California have also had the benefit of standard Purchase Agreements, including the Residential version, the RPA, which is now ten pages long.  With increased mobility of buyers, sellers and agents, it is necessary for San Francisco agents to have a familiarity and understanding of both the SFAR and CAR forms.  This class will provide that.

Lunch and Reach150 Training

Did you know that 90 percent of clients do online research before calling a real estate agent? Wouldn’t you like your clients to be able to easily find the positive testimonials that your clients have left you about the services you provide? Now you can! SFAR is partnering with Reach150, and online testimonial service that collects recommendations for agents and makes sure they are prominently placed on social, search and website platforms to be seen by potential clients.

SFAR members can expect to receive an email invite from Reach150 by the end of May to set up their free account. There is no commitment or credit card up front. Each agent can have 3 free published testimonials (you only publish the testimonials you like best), then the agents decide if they want to subscribe at $19/month yearly or $25 monthly. The agent is in complete control of what gets published. When an agent gets a recommendation, their ‘partner network’ is notified. Brokers can also create an account to collect recommendations from their agents to help with recruiting.

Eventually, Reach150 will also be directly integrated into the SFARMLS platform through an SSO link.

Mobile MLS Launch Party

In case you missed it, the SFARMLS is currently offering two mobile MLS solutions for members! The app from MyTheo is available for download and use now for iPad and iPhone, while the Goomzee app is currently in demo mode for users of both iOS and Android devices.

In coordination with the official launch of the SFARMLS mobile platforms on Monday, September 22 we’ve partnered with our two mobile MLS providers: Goomzee and myTheo to provide training sessions of each of their platforms for SFARMLS participants and subscribers.

Please join us in the SFAR Large Conference Room at 301 Grove Street on Monday, September 22. Bring your smartphones and tablets so we can help you install and get familiar with the two mobile MLS apps. During this time, we’ll be discussing the strategy of offering two mobile solutions for a limited trial period of 18 months.

SFAR staff and the MLS Committee Co-Chairs will be on-hand to answer questions about the vision for moving to a single solution once the18-month period is up. We will provide light snacks and drinks during the training sessions and will repeat a short presentation of our strategic vision on the hour at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 p.m.
