First Stop Tuesdays (Tue. 4 Mar, 2014 8:00 am)

First Stop Tuesday is a FREE event hosted by SFAR and sponsored by SFAR affiliate members. The event offers agents an opportunity to fuel up with coffee and rolls all while learning about the various properties being shown prior to going out on Tuesday Tour. 

The next SFAR event will take place on Tuesday, March 4 from 8:00 – 8:45 a.m. at the Association’s office at 301 Grove Street, San Francisco, CA 94102.

In addition to being able to network with other agents and learn about some of the products and services SFAR affiliate members offer, the first 10 agents to arrive will receive the opportunity to “pitch” their Tuesday Tour listings in front of event attendees. We look forward to seeing you at this new event!

Ethics Video Class (Fri. 7 Mar, 2014 1:15 pm - 3:45 pm)

New members of the San Francisco Association of REALTORS® are required to complete an orientation course on the Code of Ethics within 25 days of their acceptance as a REALTOR® member in accordance with the Association's bylaws. If a new member fails to take the course within the 25-day time frame, he or she will have their membership placed in inactive status until the requirement is filled.                             

The National Association of REALTORS® also requires continuing members to complete the NAR Code of Ethics course once every 4-year Quadrennial period. The current Quadrennial period is from January 1st, 2013 to December 31st, 2016.                                                                                                                     

The three-hour course is presented at the Association's headquarter offices every Friday afternoon at 1:15 p.m. The cost is free of charge for new members and $15 dollars for continuing members. Reservations are required and may be made by sending an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. If you cannot make your appointment time, plan to switch with another agent. Please allow for up to 90 mintues to make the exchange and to learn how to use your new key and lockboxes.

PARKING: Parking is free for agents when they park in the Owens Street Garage. Enter the garage and take a ticket. Before leaving the event, please be sure to trade your parking ticket for a voucher from event staff. Upon leaving the garage, hand your parking voucher to the garage attendant.

MLS and Technology Commitee Meeting (Thu. 13 Mar, 2014 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm)

The MLS and Technology Committee makes recommendations to the board of directors concerning the day-to-day operation of the MLS, including recommending additional services and rules enforcement mechanisms. The committee also reviews the offerings of third-party vendors seeking access to the MLS data and makes recommendations to the board of directors concerning that access.

Plan C TIC/Condo Conversion Workshop (Wed. 26 Mar, 2014 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm)

Join San Francisco Plan C in the St. Francis room of St. Mary’s Cathedral at 6:30 pm, Wednesday, March 26th to learn about TIC to Condo conversion following the passage of last year’s legislation. DPW staff members, Board members from Plan C, legal counsel, surveyor and bank representatives will be on hand to provide an overview of the legislation and the condo conversion process and answer your questions. Plan C will be hosting an informational panel to address as many questions regarding the bypass program (as specified by the legislation) as possible.
