What is Agent Sneak Peek? Each Monday from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., hosts Marc Dickow and Mark Shumway lead a fast, fun and informative meeting which gives you the opportunity to: - Present a "sneak peek" of a listing you will have on Tuesday's Broker Tour or a property which is "coming soon"; and - Hear from an expert on a topic which impacts your real estate business.
Our goal is for Agent Sneak Peek to be a highly valuable way for you to increase exposure to your listings + learn something new!
The meaning of "home" and its importance to our health and well-being has taken on new significance this past year. For us at the Welcome Home Project, it has reaffirmed that the work we do to help San Francisco’s homeless families and individuals successfully transition into homes is needed now more than ever.
It is with this reinvigorated spirit that we rally and invite you to join us for our annual fall event, Home Sweet Home. We hope you will consider becoming a sponsor for the event and help us raise funds that provide essential household provisions for - and lift morale and restore dignity to - those in our community who are transitioning into permanent housing.
Home Sweet Home will take place on Friday, October 22, at Harborview Restaurant at 4 Embarcadero. Guests can look forward to a festive gathering with fellow civic leaders, a delicious dim sum breakfast, and an inspiring and informative program.
The Welcome Home Project was started by the San Francisco Association of Realtors® Foundation in 2015 with input from our Board of Directors, former Mayor Ed Lee, and then-Supervisor London Breed. We help nearly 2,000 San Francisco-based homeless individuals each year transition into permanent housing by providing them with a personalized package of brand-new household items like cookware, dishes, linens, and small appliances, as well as personal hygiene items and cleaning supplies. No other organization in San Francisco addresses this need, which clients tell us often makes the difference between staying in their new housing or returning to the street.
The Mayor’s Office calculated that our services touch about half of the homeless population the City permanently houses on an annual basis. In the last two years, we have received a steadily increasing number of requests from our 50+ referral agencies. It pains us that 1/4 of our recipients are children and homeless through unfortunate circumstances beyond their control. With your support, we can raise enough funds to not have to turn anyone away.
