Now that SFAR has upgraded the majority of our members’ lockboxes and keys, what does that mean for you as an agent? Here are some of the frequently asked questions we are getting now that we’ve wrapped up our exchange.
Q: I missed the exchange, but I still have old iBoxes? What can I do?
A: If the boxes have bluetooth in them (a tall box that says iBox BT or iBox BT LE on it) then the box is fine to use in the San Francisco market area.
Q: I have older grey boxes (AE-II) and a short blue iBox, can I still use them?
A: No, these boxes will soon be phased out for use in San Francisco. These boxes do not contain up-to-date technology in them and do not meet the minimum requirements for use in San Francisco. Read on for additional instructions on how you can get a Bluetooth box.
Q: Are you going to take my older boxes for exchange?
A: We have completed the free one-for-one exchange of older boxes for new iBox BT LE equipment. We have new iBox BT LE stock on hand now to retail, boxes are $134.00 + tax (total: $145.73).
Q: I didn't have time to get my key upgraded, am I in trouble?
A: You are not in trouble - we can still assist you with the change/upgrade of your key very quickly at some point over the next 4 to 6 weeks, but be aware that your BLACK DISPLAY KEY will NO LONGER FUNCTION after March 31, 2014. Please help us serve you more efficiently by making an appointment to get your key switched out. We only have enough staff to help a maximum of 5 people per day, so plan accordingly and call our office for an appointment today by calling 413-415-8500, option 3.
Additional information to consider:
The SFARMLS staff needs your help with scheduled appointments for any activity involving a Supra key. New keys, lost/stolen keys, return of keys will require appointments going forward, however, we can retail new boxes and sell accessories for the ActiveKey without the need for an appointment.
