SFAR's Supra system upgrade is almost complete and with it comes a pending amendment to the MLS Rules and Regulations. With the exchange of all of the old boxes, SFAR will now be requiring the use of only the new iBox BT LE.
The rule change fits into the SFARMLS Rules & Regulations, section 13, as follows:
13.2.2 Lockbox Type Requirements: Participants and Subscribers who utilize lockboxes or other access devices shall use the designated or authorized lockbox required by the MLS where the listing is submitted. More than one lockbox or access device may be used on a property as long as one of them is the lockbox designated or authorized by the MLS where the listing is submitted. SFAR only authorizes the use of the Supra iBox BT LE (which works with all Bluetooth supported devices) that was deployed on March 12, 2014.
SFAR will no longer be accepting the old (non-BT LE) lockboxes into its inventory. Members from neighboring Associations who have their key cooped with SFAR can open the new boxes using a Bluetooth (eKey) or IR (ActiveKey, DisplayKey) enabled key. Questions?
