SFAR Foundation's Welcome Home Project Raises $50,000+ at February 12th Fundraiser
On Wednesday evening more than 175 SFAR members and friends came together virtually for a live cooking experience with famed Chef Martin Yan!
This event was a fundraiser for the SFAR Foundation's Welcome Home Projectwhich was founded in 2015 to provide homeless families and individuals transitioning into permanent housing with housewares and personal items to help them settle successfully. No other non-profit organization in San Francisco addresses this specific need. The Welcome Home Project fulfills thousands of requests per year and funds its operations from member and community contributions -- so fundraisers like Wednesday night's event are essential!
We have so many people to thank for Wednesday night's success, including California Governor Gavin Newsom, San Francisco Mayor London Breed, California State Treasurer Fiona Ma, the Golden State Warriors' "Hype Man" Franco Finn who led our fabulous auction, our 20+ incredible sponsoring companies and organizations, our hundreds of friends who purchased tickets, and, of course, the inimitable Chef Martin Yan for sharing his time and talents -- what a dynamic and kind friend to the Welcome Home Project!
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and so many of you, we raised more than $50,000 for the Welcome Home Project. Hooray!

And we are so grateful to these companies and organizations for their contributions to the Welcome Home Project!
For every donation of $175, the Welcome Home Project can help one more homeless individual move into permanent housing comfortably. Please consider continuing your support to ensure we have the resources available to meet the thousands of requests we will receive this year:
