Starting out in real estate can be a challenge, especially for those who identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or people of color (BIPOC).
The San Francisco Association of Realtors® Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee is proud to launch the Rise Grant & Mentorship Program.
Our mission is to usher in a new generation of thriving and successful BIPOC Realtors® in San Francisco!
We've opened up the application process for our first RISE cohort. Applicants must be 18+ years of age, a high school graduate or equivalent, a current resident of the Bay Area, and a currently-licensed California DRE Salesperson or Broker. The deadline to apply for the first RISE cohort is August 30, 2022.
RISE cohort members will receive one year of mentorship with seasoned mentors and a financial grant.
The mentorship component will likely include 1) monthly two-hour sessions, each with a different top Realtor® who will train on an area they specialize in (sales, business operations, personal finances, marketing, mindset/personal development, etc.), followed by discussion and questions/answers, and 2) monthly one-hour sessions as a cohort to build community, share experiences, and troubleshoot together.
Plus, RISE cohort members will receive a financial grant to cover real estate career-related expenses, with grant amounts to be determined.
Application priority will be given to individuals who identify as Black/African/African American and/or Indigenous/Native American and/or Hispanic/Latino/a/Latinx, but any Realtor® from a historically underrepresented community is encouraged to apply.
Two ways to get involved:
1. Learn more about the application process and apply today! Or, encourage a fellow Realtor® who is early in their career and may be a good fit for our program to apply:
