2026 Board of Director Nominations Now Open

The Association’s Nominating Committee meets each year for the purpose of nominating candidates for election to the Board of Directors for the next ensuing three-year term. Allen Okamoto with T. Okamoto & Co. is serving as Chair of this year’s Nominating Committee. At the end of 2025, six directorship positions will become vacant and will need to be filled in September. Three positions are open for election by the membership and three positions will be filled by appointment by the President.

In each category in which a director or directors is/are to be elected/reelected, a minimum of two more candidates than the number of vacancies to be filled shall be nominated for three-year terms beginning on January 1, 2026: 

  • One REALTOR® or Designated REALTOR® Elected from a Brokerage with More Than 75 REALTOR® Members
  • Two REALTOR® or Designated REALTOR® Elected At-Large

The Nominating Committee must therefore select at least six director candidates no later than Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

Three positions will be filled by appointment by the President:

  • One REALTOR® or Designated REALTOR® member appointed by the President subject to the approval of the Board of Directors
  • Two Designated REALTOR® or REALTOR® members qualified to be a Designated REALTOR® appointed by the President subject to the approval of the Board of Directors. One director shall be appointed from an office with between 1-25 REALTOR® members and the other director shall be appointed from an office with more than 25 REALTOR® members. At no time shall the President appoint more than one director from the same company or the same company as the President.

The strength of the Association lies in our members’ involvement. The leadership provided by the Board of Directors is extremely important to continue the Association’s history in providing programs and services for all members.  Careful consideration should be given to select those nominees who possess the qualities necessary to produce a strong and effective leadership team. REALTOR® members can assist the committee in its selection process by proposing for consideration the names of members qualified to serve on the Board of Directors.

The 2026 Board of Directors Application Form must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
